Histopathological assessment of endocervical adenocarcinoma

The purpose of this website is to provide training in performing histopathological assessment of the pattern of invasion of HPV-associated endocervical adenocarcinoma. This is done by assignment of a pattern based on a three tier risk stratification system (Pathology. 2018 Feb;50(2):134-140. doi: 10.1016/j.pathol.2017.09.011. Epub 2017 Dec 11), using the criteria provided below.

There are 30 cases and they are divided into 15 cases as a TRAINING SET; for each of these cases, please review the slide and choose the most appropriate risk pattern (A, B or C), as per the guidelines above, and click on the result button to immediately see the risk pattern assigned by the study pathologists.

There are also 15 cases in the TEST SET; for this series of 15 scanned slide images, please choose a risk pattern for each image, and when you have completed all 15 slides, you will be given your results for the series, compared to the risk pattern assigned by the expert study pathologists.

To start, click on the TRAINING SET link, below. After reviewing the training set cases, please proceed to the TEST SET.
